Our busiest season is during our summer months of June, July and August, however, we have groups planning weekend retreats, outdoor education experiences, family reunions and more. The Food Service Director manages the overall food-service operation of Camp Koinonia including purchasing, menu planning, preparation, dietary accommodations, service, sanitation, organization, personnel management, customer service, and record keeping. Assistant camp Director | Full Time | Salary
Assist the directors in the overall operation of camp in a variety of areas, including food service, grounds and facilities, organizing, housekeeping, bookkeeping, maintenance, and leading activities. Work alongside our program director to be trained in outdoor education and program areas such as archery, aquatics etc. Help host our groups and meet their daily needs in order to create an atmosphere that they will never forget. Local Staff | Part Time Positions
cook | part-Time | hourly | paid time off
The cook will plan a menu that serves large groups, keeping presentation, quantities, and health options. They will review our existing menu options and bring in new ideas and options that involve more scratch cooking while maintaining options that are tried and true. In addition they will research items to prepare for large groups while keeping dietary restrictions in mind and prepare the food with the assistance of coordinators and younger staff in the kitchen. housekeeper | hourly | part-Time
Our 111 acre camp has 12 cabin buildings, 2 large meeting spaces and several outbuildings that require regular maintenance. Resetting our camps requires hard working staff to clean sleeping spaces, bathrooms, and meeting areas. Housekeeping at Camp Koinonia is very sporadic with most shifts happening Mondays-Wednesday in our off-season Sept-May. In our summer months, resetting the camp for the next group, happens multiple times per week and general cleaning happens daily. Shifts will be 4-6 Hours Per Day, 1-3 days per week based on schedule. SPRING BREAK PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR | STIPEND | APRIL 7-10, 2025
Teach and lead our specialized camp activities to 5th grade students including nature/ environmental education, teambuilding, arts & crafts, group games, and more. Experience in at least one program area is a plus but not required. Training is provided for all program areas. $500 for the week with opportunities for continued summer employment. Must be 16 years old by April 7th.
