Camp Koinonia is hiring a Full-Time Facilities Director with housing & utilities included. The position is open until filled. We are a year-round recreational facility that hosts groups up to 150 people. We serve churches, non-profits, schools, adult groups and youth groups. We have 10 cabins, lodges, meeting spaces, pond, heated pool and 111 acres for hiking.
Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Facilities Director will be responsible for the physical property which includes the buildings, grounds and trails. They will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the camp's buildings, cleaning and resetting after group usage, caring for physical grounds, repairing and servicing equipment and maintain the pool and other facilities consistent with the mission and established policies and procedures of the camp. If other positions are needed to help fulfil the assigned duties, the facilities director will be charged with scheduling and supervising auxiliary staff members.
This full-time salary non-exempt position includes a 1-2 bedroom apartment, utilities, internet, access to food in the lodge, 50% health care coverage, matching ROTH IRA contribution as well as sick time, vacation time, and access to all amenities on camp property.

Weekend hourly Positions
During the spring, fall and winter, we have groups on the weekends utilize our facilities for retreats and camps. In order to staff our kitchen and maintenance areas, we hire hourly staff to cover our gaps. The shifts are not consistent and some weekends we don’t have groups. This is perfect as a second job or someone looking for extra money.
summer Service workers
Our summer positions are perfect for college aged individuals. They focus on 3 different areas: Food Service & Hospitality | Facilities & Pool Supervision | Marketing & Development. All of which will provide you with an opportunity to work on a team, gain valuable experience in the workplace and grow in your faith. Learn more about the position below.

Food Service & Hospitality | Plan a menu, assist in preparation and delivery of a delicious meal to our campers. Work side-by-side with our Food Services Director. Help host our groups and meet their daily needs. Create an atmosphere that they will never forget. There are total of 6 positions available in this area.
Facilities & Pool Supervision | Manage the daily upkeep of camp including lawn care, pool maintenance, painting and building new additions. Gain a lifeguard certification and help supervise our swimmers, kayakers and pond divers! There are total of 4 positions available in this area.
Marketing & Development | Engage an audience. Create a new promotional video. Create surveys and engage with our customers. Assist in developing fundraising ideas and financial appeals. Work with our donor base and acquire supporters. There will only be one position hired for this area.

Legally permitted to work in the USA
Ability to work on a team and follow instructions from a supervisor.
Physically able to lift 25-50lbs on a regular basis & work long hours.
The Compensation | There are several options for financial compensation for our summer positions. If you decide to work the entire summer, May will be a “training” month remotely with the option to join us for the weekends.
4 Weeks: $500 (July or August Only)
8 Weeks: $1,000 (June, July, or August)
12 Weeks: $1,500 (June - August) / (May - July)
16 Weeks: $2,000 (May - August)

The Camp | Koinonia is located in Central Washington in the heart of the Cascade Mountains. We sit on 111 acres and have space to host 140+ guests. Our facilities include a heated swimming pool, large lodge, staff lounge, meeting spaces and hiking trails. You’ll live and eat on-site during the summer with opportunities to travel home certain weeks or weekends.
The Work | Summer is the busiest time of year for almost every camp in the nation. You will be working long hours with breaks and days off. Every day you will meet with your supervisor and look over your schedule. You will be tasked based upon your position, skills and abilities.
The Staff | Our year-round staff will be supervising 8-10 summer interns. We are easy going, fun having and encouraging individuals. Our goal is to create an experience that benefits both the camp and the summer staff. We want your work to be rewarding and beneficial to your future career.
The Fun | Not only will you be living in a beautiful camp, you will experience everything our town and state have to offer. Our staff will have scheduled outings including camping trips, rodeos, city day, ball games, hiking and more. You will all live on-site and have access to a staff lounge.
The Jesus | We are a Christian camp and we are always growing closer to Jesus. Everyday there will be scheduled devotions & prayer as well as a weekly family dinner and Bible study. You will have the option to worship on Saturday night or Sunday morning.
