ABOUT DAY CAMP
Designed for campers ages 5-11, our program gives kids the opportunity to grow, learn, and explore in a secure, supportive, and faith-based environment. When your child comes to day camp, they join a community that values them, prays for them, and encourages them to be themself! Day Camp is more than just a place to have fun and make memories; it helps kids form friendships, build self-confidence, explore the outdoors, and tap into their creativity.

FEES
Camp Koinonia offers tiered pricing as a way for families to invest in our camp and facilities. By offering two voluntary price options, you can choose to pay the option that best fits your family’s financial situation. As you consider your family’s financial situation, please also consider the true cost of camp. The choice is voluntary, confidential, and will not impact your child’s camp experience in any way.
Tier 1 $395/ session | Represents the full cost of operating camp, including not only the basic costs of camp but also long-term maintenance, wear and tear to the camp facilities, and other operational costs.
Tier 2 $295/ session | The cost which covers the basic costs of camp such as staffing and supplies.
Lock In $75 | $10 sibling discounts provided for the lock in with code SIBLING10
There is a $35 non-refundable registration fee in addition to the camp fees described above.
Camperships
Financial aid “camperships” are available on a first-come, first-served basis for families whose financial situation is not reflected in the tiered pricing system. Select “Request for Campership Application” during the registration process to fill out the form or email program@campkoinonia.org for more information.
Please note: Due to the high volume of requests for financial aid in 2025, we will be working to distribute financial aid more equitably in 2026. This may mean that families will receive a different campership amount in 2026 than they received in 2025.
When is payment due?
A $35 registration fee is due at time of registration. If paying by cash/check, please mail payment promptly or your registration may be voided. The remaining balance is due December 13th. Families can opt into a payment plan or choose to make manual payments.
After December 13th, the full balance is required to complete registration.

Day Camp Trail Groups
Day Campers take on their Koinonia experience in trail groups. Composed of co-ed groups of 10-12 campers and 2 counselors, trail groups give campers a home team for the week. Based on weekly registrations, campers are typically in a trail group with peers within 1.5 years of age.
Days will be filled with developmentally appropriate games and activities which promote skill development, healthy risk taking, character growth, and fun! Most activities throughout the week take place with a camper’s trail group.
Schedules vary by age level and may include:
Sledding
Snow Shoeing
Crafts
Escape Room
Archery Tag
Cooking and Baking
9 Square in the Air
Gaga
+ More!
Sibling & Friend Requests: We are able to accommodate 1 mutual “buddy request” for campers to be in the same trail group with friends or siblings within 1 year of age.
FAITH AT DAY CAMP
In the book of Matthew, Jesus responds to the Pharisees’ question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matt. 22:36-39
Faith development at Camp Koinonia Day Camp is grounded in this teaching. Our goal with faith development is to expose people to God’s love and plant seeds, allowing room for exploration and questions with your family.
With that in mind, these goals guide our time at camp.
Camp Koinonia’s Five Spiritual Goals | Each camper should learn more about:
Relationship and connection with a gracious and loving God.
The Bible as a guide for life
Jesus’ life and teachings regarding loving God and others well.
Our bodies being the temple of God that need to be well cared for.
Our responsibility in caring for the world God has made.
Chapel and Circle Time Devotions
Day Camp Counselors host a relatable and interactive daily chapel. Centered around skits that introduce concepts like sharing your gifts and talents, trusting in God, and loving others, chapel is a core part of the camp experience. To complement the lessons introduced at chapel, daily Circle Time devotions gives campers age-appropriate opportunities to explore the Bible, talk about their lives, and learn about faith.
CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT
During registration, families will select one check in option and one check out option. Families are not able to choose multiple options and must use the same check in and check out time/method the entire week of camp.
Early pick ups outside the selected check out time disrupt the camp day. If an early check out cannot be avoided, please contact the Program Director to coordinate a time that works with the trail group’s schedule.

-

FAQs
-
All campers will sleep on twin size camp mattresses in our Meeting Hall. This is a large open room; please pack modest pajamas for your camper. Camp staff will also be sleeping in the meeting hall to ensure safe supervision throughout the night.
-
Only campers who are signed up for Extended Care may stay at camp between the camp day and the lock in. The 3:30-5:30 break gives our staff time to rest before the late night of having fun with your camper! Thanks in advance for your understanding.
-
There will be multiple options for how campers spend their time in the later evening on New Year’s Eve. Campers will be able to fall asleep to a movie in the Meeting Hall whenever they need.
Our counselors are prepared for kids to be a little tired or even grumpy on New Year’s Day.
-
Camp staff are prepared to help your camper work through feelings of missing home. Camp staff will contact you if your child is having a tough time to keep you updated on the situation and work together on a plan.
The best way to prepare your child for a night away from home is to NORMALIZE feeling homesick! Before camp, talk to your child to reassure them that you believe in their ability to push through discomfort. Offering to your child ahead of time to pick them up if they feel homesick can actually impair your child’s ability to work through their feelings of missing home. Instead, be encouraging and show your trust in camp staff and your child to make the night away a great experience.
Questions and comments can be directed to our program director, who will be handling registrations as well as managing all aspects of Winter Break Day Camp.
