WHO WE ARE

The Homeschool Collective is a program hosted by Camp Koinonia that meets once a week on Wednesdays (new in 2023/2024) where parents collaborate to facilitate structured social enrichment for homeschooled children. This program aligns with Camp Koinonia’s desire to create spaces for families in Cle Elum to spend time together in nature. Similar to a co-op, each parent is responsible for fulfilling a role within our group.

NEW FAMILIES (MEMBERSHIP)

Our group is currently looking to add new families for the the upcoming year. Our focus is Elementary aged children (5 – 12 years old) with younger and older siblings able to join as well.  We are a vibrant community of parents looking for intentional connection and friendship and whose desire is to support each other in our homeschool journeys. The Collective is exclusive to homeschool families and those who choose to do online homeschooling.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The registration fee for each family is $150 for the school year. This fee goes toward camp usage costs as well as supplies and activity costs and is managed by the Leadership Team and the Camp Koinonia liason. Each parent involved needs to complete a background check before participating and fill out a voluntary disclosure agreement. A few scholarships are available each year, if interested request more information below. Full and Partial Scholarships Available.

Homeschool Collective at Camp Koinonia Registration and Participation will include:

• 24-30 Wednesdays of Structured, Parent-Led Activities;

• Additional instructor-led activities including swimming, archery, and kayaking;

• Use of indoor and outdoor spaces at Camp Koinonia;
