Koinonia staff training

Every year we focus on 2 aspects of staff training. The online portion will bring people up to speed and will help make the in-person training a much more informal process. Please complete all of the trainings below in order. They all have a due date for summer training. If you are a new employee in the offseason, please disregard dates and complete prior to your first day of employment.

If you have any questions, or if a training is not working, please contact director@campkoinonia.org or 509.304.9541

WARNING - If your training and staff paperwork is not completed on-time, you will become ineligible for an end-of-season bonus.

SEXUAL ABUSE PREVENTION & CHILD ABUSE / NEGLECT

Child abuse and neglect along with sexual abuse prevention are hard topics to deal with, however, we are on the front lines of reporting. We will work alongside kids and volunteers who are spending a lot of time with children and each other. In a camp setting, there are a lot of risk areas to be addressed and we want everyone to feel prepared. This is a tough topic and if you feel uncomfortable during this training please bring it to the attention of the camp director and we will discuss options.

Use the link and register a brand new user even if you completed this last year. We are all retaking the course. You will get a certificate at completion that you will need to submit.

Our kitchen is a busy place and there is a lot to learn once you are in the kitchen. This course will help breakdown all the food safety and food regulations for the state of Washington. Pay $10 on your own debit card and submit receipt with completed certification. Everyone must have a food workers card with at least 18 months remaining. If you are about to expire in the next 6 months, please retake the course.
